these tracks were recorded between sept. 2020 and jan. 2021.

from a technical standpoint the project follows a single improvisational piece, performed on the bass guitar through several effect pedals. layers were added with an electric guitar and a modded casio sa-20 synth through effects. samples recorded in my apartment and in other visited spaces were layered into the textures and created inspiration for some of the direction.

emotion was a driving factor for this project. chaos, uncertainty, fear, all present throughout. the visual inspiration and the theme of some samples are connected through my old apartment. many emotions were experienced there and i had to leave quickly and a few of these tracks were created during that process of moving out. the album ends on an uncertain hopefulness which is where i was at by the time of this projects completion.

i don't quite remember how I became aware of this band, I think mostly by chance of combing through my bandcamp recommendations but man am I ever glad I stopped and gave this a listen absolutely beautiful combination of piano and metal I've heard in a long time been listening to this album and most of their catalog for a few years now and I'm looking forward to seeing what these guys create next Zach Chester
